We believe that celebrating birthdays is an important way to nourish a child’s identity. Our Aunties and Uncles take great pride in dressing each birthday child in brand-new clothes and shoes; they make sure their hair is perfect for the big celebration! Every child gets a birthday cake on his/her birthday, and shares it with the children in their home. We begin giving gifts at the age of 3, and each birthday has its own special gift.

Birthdays are a big deal.
We see them as a time to celebrate life. Everything we do for our children has a purpose and plan, especially the days we celebrate them. Every gift is paired with a specific year to be sure our children feel loved and cared for. See the gifts each child receives for their age below.
At age 3 they receive a stuffed animal!
At age 4 they receive a special t-shirt!
At age 5 they receive a handmade quilt!
At age 6 they get to go on a game drive!
At age 7 they receive a
bible and candy bar!
At age 8 they receive a journal and water bottle filled with candy!
At age 9 they receive a devotional and candy!
At age 10 they get to go on an all day African safari at a game reserve that is a refuge for endangered species including black rhinos. Complete with bush lunch with meat braai! And a hat from the safari!
